Anduril
Anduril in the New Line film
Sword forged from Narsil for Aragorn. Narsil was originally the sword of Elendil. It eventually was shattered. Aragorn told Elrond of this at the Council of Elrond on October 25, 3018. He ordered his Elven smiths to reforge it, and Aragorn appreciated this very much. He used the sword in moria and up the Anduin when fighting the forces of Saruman. It was on February 16 that the Fellowship departed from Lothlorien. Galadriel gave each member a mighty gift. She gave Aragorn a sheath for Anduril. When Eomer of Rohan suspected Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli of being spies, Aragorn showed him Anduril to prove that the three were not spies. Eomer believed them in astonishment. At Edoras, Hama stopped Aragorn and his companions and removed their armory. Aragorn gave Anduril to Hama, but later took it back. He fought using Anduril at Helm's Deep. The black blood of the Uruk-Hai stained the sword, but it and its wielder led Rohan to victory. On March 6, 3019, Aragorn revealed himself to Sauron, wielding Anduril. Then, he brought Anduril to the Paths of the Dead. He, Legolas, and Gimli successfully summoned the deadly army to take down the Corsairs of Umbar. He also brought Anduril to the Battle of Pelennor Fields where he successfully killed Orcs and Haradrim. Lastly, Aragorn wielded Anduril at the Battle at the Black Gate. Once the War of the Ring was won, Aragorn most likely put his sword on display as King of Gondor.
