Brandir (I)
Uncle of Brandir the Lame. Brandir (I) was born in year 409 of the First Age. He was of the House of Beor. Brandir (I) was the elder son of Arachon and Bergil. Brandir was the elder brother of Beldis, the mother of Brandir the Lame. Brandir (I)'s date of death is unknown.
Names & Meanings
The name Brandir may derive from the Sindarin word brand, which means "noble," and dîr, which means "man." Brandir's nephew was called Brandir the Lame.
