Elendilmir
Gem of the country of Arnor named after its founder Elendil of Numenor. Elendilmir was originally found in Numenor. it was brought by Elendil, Lord of the Faithful, to Middle-Earth. In the War of the Last Alliance, Elendil was killed and his son Isildur assumed possession of Elendilmir. He wore it around his neck. In year 2 of the Third age, the Isildur was travelling with Elendilmir through Gladden Fields and was attacked by orcs. They feared the Elendilmir, but wanted the Ring of Power. When Isildur was shot, both the Elendilmir and the Ring were lost in the River Anduin for nearly three millenniums. A new Elendilmir was soon forged in Arnor and worn by the kings of the North. After the line was ended, the Chieftains also wore the Elendilmir. Aragorn inherited it, and wore it often. He wore it at the Battle of Pelennor Fields and probably to the Black Gate as well. Isildur's Elendilmir was found in the Anduin by Saruman's Uruk-Hai scouts, and was stored in Orthanc. Gimli found it in 3019.It was given to Aragorn and Arwen when the two became high King and Queen. Aragorn wore the ancient Elendilmir to Arnor when becoming King.
