Finrod Felagund
Founder of Minas Tirith in the Pass of Sirion, Finrod was the son of Finarfin and Earwen. He had four younger siblings: Orodreth, Angrod, Aegnor, and Galadriel. He loved Amarie, but he passed over the Grinding Ice with his people, leaving her behind. This was in the Years of the Trees. Finrod stumbled upon men while hunting in the First Age. He had never seen them before, and, though they were not very fine or established, he lived with them for many years. He then made his king, Thingol, grant men the land of Estolad. He often visited the Edain woman Andreth, who , like him, was wise. They had 72 hour conversatoins about Arda and what was happening. Finrod fought in the Battle of Sudden Flame and his friend Barahir saved his life and gave him the Ring of Barahir. Barahir's son Beren was accompanied by Finrod in the quest to retrieve the Silmaril from Morgoth's Iron Crown. Celegorm and Curufin, the sons of Feanor, visited Finrod's kingdom of Nargothrond and Finrod accompanied them on a journey. They were all taken captive in the Isle of Werewolves. Sauron defeated Finrod, and imprisoned him. Beren was almost killed when Finrod broke free and killed the wolf attacking him. He was terribly wounded and soon returned to Valinor, where he was wed to Amarie and reunited with his parents.
