Galador
First Prince of Dol Amroth. Galador was born in the year 2004 of the Third Age. He was the son of a Numenorean man named Imrazor and an Elf-maiden named Mithrellas. Galador had a sister named Gilmith. The family lived in Belfalas in Gondor.
After Mithrellas had her children, she ran away and was never seen again. Galador died in year 2129 and had an unknown successor. The line of princes of Dol Amroth lasted several thousand years and into the Fourth Age.

Names & Meanings
The meaning of the name Galador is uncertain. In The Etymologies of Volume 5 of The History of Middle-earth, the similar word Galadhor can be found, but its derivation and composition are not recorded. It seems to be linked to both "thrive" and "tree."
