Galdor
Nathan Clark as Galdor in the New Line film
Servant of Cirdan the Shipwright. Galdor was, too, from the Grey Havens. He went to the Council of Elrond in Rivendell, which was held to decide the fate of the Ring of Power. Galdor confronted Gandalf and asked if this ring owned by Frodo Baggins was the true Ring of Power, which indeed it was. He then asked what Saruman thought, but Gandalf explained how Saruman had turned bad. Galdor was very doubtful, at the council, that Tom Bombadil could keep the Ring safe, and that casting it into the sea was a good idea. He only trusted the people of Lorien to keep it safe, but that thought was ruled out entirely. It was decided nine companions would take the ring to Mordor and destroy it in Mount Doom.
