Gléowine
Poet and song writer of Rohan. The music of Gleowine was known to be beautiful, and was sung in the decreasing Rohirric language. After the War of the Ring at the end of the Third Age, Gleowine composed a song about King Theoden that was sung at his funeral on August 10, 3019 of the Third Age. After this, Gleowine never wrote a song again.
Names & Meanings
The name Gléowine is composed of the Old English elements gléo from glíw, meaning "music," and wine meaning "friend."
