Gorhendad Brandybuck
Ancestor of the Brandybuck family who founded the village of Buckland. Gorhendad was born into the Oldbuck family and he lived in the Marish.
Gorhendad Oldbuck crossed the Brandywine River sometime in the 2300s of the Third Age. Gorhendad and his followers colonized the regions between the Brandywine and the Old Forest, and they named it Buckland. Gorhendad also changed his family name to Brandybuck.
Gorhendad built Brandy Hall in Buck Hill, and from there the Masters of Buckland would rule the Bandybuck family for many generations to come. Gorhendad was the first Master of Buckland.
Gorhended must have died sometime before the end of the 2300s of the Third Age. He had children whose name are not known, but from him came many descendants.
