Maglor
Kind, gentle, and poetic Elf. Maglor had an older brother Maedhros as well as five younger brothers: Celegorm, Caranthir, Curufin, Amrod, and Amras. His father was Feanor and his mother was Nerdanel.
Morgoth stole one of their father's Silmarils, and the sons swore an oath to retake them. The males of the family went to Middle-Earth where Feanor was killed. Maglor retreated to East Beleriand, where he settled in a little place between to Little and Greater Gelion Rivers which was named Maglor's Gap. Maglor's Gap was attacked 400 years later and Maglor retreated to his brother Maedhros's home. They led a force to defeat Morgoth of all Elves, Edain, Druedain, Easterlings, and dwarves. But, sadly, the Easterling Ulfang turned bad and led a small fraction of the Easterlings (the ones who turned evil) against the good. Maglor killed Ulfang, but the battle was lost. It was called the Battle of Unnumbered Tears. The sons of Feanor heard word that Thingol of Doriath had passed the Silmaril to Dior after his death, so the sons, realizing they needed to have the Silmaril, attacked Doriath, and Caranthir, Curufin, and Celegorm were killed. They later heard the Elwing held the Silmaril in the Mouths of Sirion, so it was attacked. Elwing escaped with her Silmaril to he Undying Lands. Soon, Morgoth was destroyed in the War of Wrath. Maedhros and Maglor took the remaining to Silmarils from the Valar, which burned their skin. Maedhros killed himself, but Maglor made a wise decision to cast his Silmaril into the Great Sea. It is unknown what became of him.
