Marhari
Leader of the Northmen during the Battle of the Plains. Marhari was born around the year 1800 of the Third Age. His parentage is not known. Marhari's people lived in Rhovanion.
In 1851, men from Rhun called Wainriders began attacking the Northmen in their homeland. The Wairnriders were on their way to Gondor, which they planned to invade. Marhari joined forces with King Narmacil II of Gondor.
In 1856, Narmacil and Marhari fought against the Wairiders in the Battle of the Plains. The Wainriders were victorious and Narmacil II was killed. Marhari was killed during his attempted retreat.
Marhari's son Marhwini succeeded him as lord of the Northmen, and he his the Northmen in the Vales of the Anduin where they became known as the Eotheod.

Names & Meanings
Marhari can be derived from the word marh meaning "horse" in Gothic. This was probably a reference to the fact that Marhari's people were horseback riders.
