Sword of the First and Second Ages. Narsil was made by Telchar the dwarf-smith in sometime in the mid-First Age. It was a beautiful silver color and glimered in sunlight. Narsil somehow came into the possession of Elendil of Numenor, who saved the sword from his country's downfall. He wielded the sword during the War of the Last Alliance. Sauron destroyed it and him. His son Isildur brought the ruins of Narsil and the Ring with him after defeating Sauron. He was killed in Year 2 of the Third Age in Gladden Fields and the shattered sword was brought to Rivendell. There it was reforged nearly 2 and a half thousand years later and called Anduril.
