Old Man Willow
Old Man Willow by the Brothers Hilderbrandt
Tree of the Old Forest that was evil and dangerous. Old Man Willow was a Willow Tree that stood next to the Withywindle River. He may have been a Huorn. He was very old and was angered by the peoples of Middle-Earth, for they chopped down trees. He was the leader of the trees in the Old Forest. He had a song that could make people come to him. Then he would capture them and devour them. On September 26, 3019, Frodo Baggins, Sam Gamgee, Pippin Took, and Merry Brandybuck encountered Old Man Willow. The Hobbits were captured. Only Sam was able to rebel the evil tree. Pippin and Merry were forced into Old Man Willow's trunk and Frodo was kicked into the water. He was unable to eat his meal, for Tom Bombadil marched along and saved Old Man Willow's prey.
