Voronwe
Voronwe by Anke Eissmann
Voronwe was born in Middle-Earth, in Nevrast. He was a follower of Fingolfin. After the devistation of the Battle of Unnumbered Tears, Voronwe was sent by Turgon to the West coasts to seek the help of Cirdan the Shipwright. He was delayed while camping at the Willow-meads in Nan-tathren, so he reached Cirdan late. Only six out of the seven ships that were supposed to be built were ever constructed. These ship sailed West to ask help of the Valar. Nevertheless, he was allowed to ask the Valar for help. The West-lands were shut and Voronwe and his elves were sent back. But, near Middle-Earth, a wave drowned all but Voronwe. Ulmo saved him and brought him to Vinyamar, where he was acquainted with men. He led them to Gondolin, where he was admitted. He was never mentioned again.
