Alphros
Man of Gondor. Alphros was the twenty-fourth Prince of Dol Amroth. He was born in year 3017 of the Third Age as the son of Prince Elphir, who was the son of Prince Imrahil. Alphros became Prince in year 67 of the Fourth Age after his father's death. Alphros died in year 95 of the Fourth Age, but it is unknown who succeeded him as Prince.
Names & Meanings
It can be guessed that the name Alphros means "swan of foam" or "foam swan." The word alph is the Quenya word for "swan" and the word ros means "foam." Swans were the symbol of Dol Amroth.
