Galion
Butler of King Thranduil of Mirkwood. Galion was an Elf of the woodland realm, and he could have easily been Silvan. He was responsible for keeping Thranduil's wine collection safe. Galion enjoyed a good drink himself as well.
In September of 2941 of the Third Age, Galion asked the chief of the prison guards if he wanted to join him in drinking some wine. Meanwhile, Thorin and his company of Dwarves were imprisoned in Thranduil's palace. Bilbo Baggins waited until the butler and the guard were asleep, and he snuck in to get the keys to the prison cells from the sleeping prison guard's pocket. After Bilbo released the Dwarves, they escaped in barrels down the Forest River.
It is unknown what became of Galion after the Dwarves' escape.
