Marach
Leader of the Third House of Edain to enter Beleriand. Marach was the earliest known ancestor of the House of Hador. He was born in year 282 of the First Age. Marach had two sons: Malach born in 307 and Imlach born in 310.
In 310, Marach led his people west into Beleriand. Circa 313, they descended from Mount Dolmed and continued onwards along the Dwarf-road and across the River Gelion where they settled in Estolad. Marach's people lived near the people of Beor, and the two groups of Edain became close allies.
Marach continued to lead his people until his death in 376. He was succeeded by his son Malach as leader of the people of Marach.
Marach's people continued to expand their borders. Some settled in Hithlum and others eventually ventured to the slopes of the Ered Wethrin in the west.
