Náin I
King of Durin's Folk killed by the Balrog. Nain I ruled Khazad-dum, the realm of Durin's Folk under the Misty Mountains. Nain I was born in 1832 of the Third Age as the son of King Durin VI. Nain I was of the Line of Durin.
In 1980, the Barog was awoken by Dwarven miners in the depths of Khazad-dum. The Balrog killed Durin VI. Nain I was then crowned King of Durin's Folk, but he ruled for only one year. In 1981, the Balrog awoke again and killed Nain I. Nain's son Thrain I led all the surviving Dwarves away from Khazad-dum.
