Arvegil
Born in the year 1553 of the Third Age, Arvegil became the eleventh king of Arthedain. He was the son of King Argeleb II. Arvegil became king in year 1670 after the death of his father and ruled until his own death in 1743. He was succeeded as king by his son Arveleg II.
Names & Meanings
The meaning of the name Arvegil is not known. The first element, ar, comes from the Sindarin word aran meaning "sword," but the second element vegil has an unknown meaning.
