Arveleg II
Arveleg II became the twelfth king of Arthedain. He was born in the year 1633 of the Third Age. Arveleg II was the son of King Arvegil. Arveleg II became king in year 1743, the year of his father's death. He ruled until his own death in 1813 and was then succeeded as king by his son Araval.
Names & Meanings
The meaning of the name Arveleg is not certain, but it contains the Sindarin elements ar from aran meaning "king" andveleg from beleg meaning "mighty," possibly translating Arveleg as "mighty king." Because he was the second king of Arthedain by the name Arveleg, his name was styled Arveleg II.
