Atanatar I
Son of King Turambar, Atanatar I was the tenth King of Gondor. He was born in year 480 of the Third Age. His grandfather, King Romendacil I, defeated the Easterlings but was killed in 541. Turambar colonized a territory of Rhun and died in year 667. Atanatar I became King after his father's death and ruled until his own death in 748. Atanatar I's son Siriondil, who was born in 570, became King after his father's death.
Names & Meanings
Atanatar translates as "father of Men" from Quenya. Atani means "men" and atar means "father." There was also another king of Gondor named Atanatar.
