Siriondil
Born in 570 of the Third Age, Siriondil became the eleventh king of Gondor. He was the son of King Atanatar I. Siriondil had two children: Tarannon and Tarciryan. Tarannon was born in year 654.
Siriondil was crowned king upon his father's death in 748. During Siriondil's reign, Tarannon expanded Gondor's kingdom to the western coast. Siriondil died in year 830. Tarannon became king but did not have any children. It was Tarciryan's son Earnil I who succeeded Tarannon when the time came.

Names & Meanings
Siriondil means "friend of the Great River." It is of both Quenya and Sindarin origin. The element ndil means "devoted to" in Quenya. The Sirion was a river in Beleriand which meant "Great River" in Sindarin. This name also has Quenya roots.
