Barach
Man of the Folk of Haleth in the First Age allied with a man of the Druedain named Aghan. Barach was a man of the Edain who lived in the Forest of Brethil. He was friendly with the Druedain who also lived in the Forest of Brethil. Orcs of Morgoth frequented the outskirts of Brethil, and Aghan watched over Barach and his family to keep them safe.
One day, Aghan had to abandon Barach for a time while on an errand. To keep his friend safe, Aghan carved a statue of a man of the Druedain and he placed it in front of Barach's home.
Barach's home was indeed attacked by Orcs one night. The Orcs attempted to burn his house, but the fire was apparently put out by Aghan's statue. Aghan's statue then slew the Orcs, though it was wounded in the process. When Aghan returned the next day, he too was wounded, so it appears that he poured some of his own powers into the stone.
