Barahir
Barahir was the eighth Ruling-Steward of Gondor. He was born in year 2290 of the Third Age to the steward Hador. Barahir had two children; a son named Dior and a daughter named Rian. Barahir ruled Gondor from his father's death in 2395 to 2412, when Barahir himself died. Barahir was succeeded by his son Dior as Steward.
Names & Meanings
Barahir is a Quenya word meaning "fiery lord" from bara meaning "fire" and hîr meaning "lord." Barahir was the name of a member of the Edain who was the father of Beren in the First Age. Much later, Barahir was the name of the grandson of Faramir.
