Calimehtar (I)
Nobleman of Gondor. Calimehtar was the second son of King Calmacil, his brother being King Romendacil II. He was born sometime after 1126 of the Third Age, as this was the year in which his brother was born.
Calimehtar had unknown children, but he was the grandfather of Castamir, usurper to the throne of Gondor. Castamir was infamous for starting the Gondorian civil war of Kin-Strife.

Names & Meanings
Calimehtar, also spelled Kalimehtar, is the Quenya phrase for "bright warrior." It is derived from calima meaning "bright" and ohtar meaning "warrior." There was a king of Gondor by this name.
