Calmacil
Son of King Atanatar II Alcarin and grandson of King Hyarmendacil I, Calmacil was born in year 1058 of the Third Age. He became the eighteenth king of Gondor. Calmacil had an older brother named Narmacil I. Like his father and brother, Calmacil was concerned mostly with his own comfort. Calmacil had two sons: Minalcar, born in 1126, and Calimehtar.
During Narmacil I's reign, Minalcar was appointed as a regent. He governed Gondor while his uncle lived a life of luxury. When Narmacil died in 1294, Calmacil was crowned king. However, Minalcar continued to govern Gondor and Calmacil lived a lazy, selfish life in luxury. By then, Minalcar was called Romendacil II, or "east victor." This was because of his victory over the Easterlings.
Calmacil died in year 1304. His son Romendacil II was finally crowned king.
