Hathol
Son of Magor; father of Hador. Hathol was born in year 365 of the First Age. Hathol and his father Magor resided in the valleys of the Ered Wethrin near the River Teiglin. Hathol had a son named Hador in 390.
Hador crossed Ered Wethrin in 405 to enter the service of Fingolfin, High King of the Noldor. Hathol was given the land of Dor-lomin in appreciation for his service to Fingolfin. There Hador led his people and founded the House of Hador.
Hathol's fate is not known.

Names & Meanings
Though Hathol may be a word in one of the languages of the Edain, his name means "axe" in Sindarin. He was occasionally referenced as Hathol the Axe.
