Marcho
Founder of the Shire. Blanco was a Fallohide, which was an early clan of Hobbits. He had a brother named Blanco. They lived in Bree.
In 1601 of the Third Age, King Argeleb II of Arthedain allowed Marcho, with Blanco, to colonize in the Shire region, which was then a region in Arthedain. Marcho and Blanco led a group of Hobbits of many different families to colonize the region west of the Brandywine and east of the Far Downs. They crossed the Bridge of Stonebows into what became the Shire. Hobbits came to live in the Shire for many years after.
