Minohtar
Nephew of King Ondoher. Minohtar was the captain of the right wing of Gondor's Northern Army in 1944 of the Third Age. He was a skilled warrior.
In 1944, Gondor was attacked on two fronts. Easterlings known as Wainriders allied with the men of Khand attacked from the East, and Haradrim attacked from the South. Gondor was not unprepared.
The Northern Army led by King Ondoher and his son Artamir marched out to the Morannon. Minohtar was assigned the right wing of the army. In the front of the battlefield stood the king and his guards.
At Morannon, the Wainriders emerged from the Ash Mountains and defeated the Northern Army. Minohtar was killed in battle on July 13, 1944.
It was Earnil II who finally defeated the enemies in the Battle of the Camp. He later became king of Gondor.
