Tarciryan
Tarciryan was the second son of King Siriondil of Gondor and the younger brother of King Tarannon Falastur. He was born sometime after the year 654 of the Third Age, for that was the date of birth of his elder brother.
Tarciryan was the father of King Earnil I. His son became king because Tarannon Falastur had no children with his wife Beruthiel. Earnil I inherited the throne in 913, so it can be assumed that Tarciryan had died by then, otherwise he would have succeeded his brother as king.

Names & Meanings
The meaning of the name Tarciryan is not known. The element tar, as seen in Tarannon, means "kingly," and ciryan may come from cirya meaning "ship," as seen in Ciryandil.
