Tarcil
Born in the year 280 of the Third Age, Tarcil became the sixth King of Arnor. Tarcil was the son of King Arantar. Tarcil became king in year 435 after the death of his father and ruled until his own death in year 515. Tarcil was succeeded by his son Tarondor as king.
Names & Meanings
The name Tarcil translates as "high man" or "noble man" from Quenya. It can be derived from the elements tar meaning "man" in Quenya and cil from khil meaning "high" or "noble."
