Aranuir
Third Chieftain of the Dunedain; son of Chieftain Arahael. Aranuir was born in the year 2084 of the Third Age. He lived in Rivendell until his father died in 2177. Aranuir ruled as Chieftain of the Dunedain until his own death in 2247. His son Aravir succeeded him as Chieftain.
Names & Meanings
The name Aranuir may mean "king for eternity" from the Sindarin aran meaning "king" and uir meaning "eternity."
