Belegund
Supported of Barahir; descendant of Beor the Old. Belegund was born in the year 422 of the First Age. He was the son of Bregolas. Belegund had a brother named Baragund and a sister named Beleth. Belegund had a daughter named Rian. Belegund's uncle Barahir was the lord of the House of Beor in Dorthonion.
After the Battle of Sudden Flame, Barahir led a company of survivors to hide on the shores of Tarn Aeluin. There they remained hidden for a time.
Morgoth could not find Barahir's outlaw band, and he felt that it was necessary to slay them. Morgoth's servants provoked a supporter of Barahir named Gorlim into giving them the whereabouts of Barahir's company. In 460, Barahir's company was found and all were slain except for Beren, who had been sent away on an errand and was therefore able to survive.
