Elendur
Born in year 552 of the Third Age, Elendur became the ninth king of Arnor. He was the son of King Valandur. Elendur was crowned king in year 652 after the death of his father. He ruled until his death in 777 and was succeeded by his son Earendur as king.
Names & Meanings
Elendur may translate as "Servant of the Elves" in Quenya. The element ndur wmeans "servant," and elen means "star," which is a reference to the Eldar Elves. There was an earlier son of Isildur of the same name.
