Elendur
Elendur was the eldest son of Isildur and the older brother of Aratan, Ciryon, and Valandil. Elendur was born in Numenor in 3299 of the Second Age. Elendur escaped the downfall of Numenor with his family in 3319 and retreated to Middle-Earth.
In Middle-Earth, Elendur remained by his father's side. Elendur fought with the Last Alliance of Elves and Men during the War of the Last Alliance in 3434. After the Battle of Dagorlad, Elendur accompanied Isildur into Mordor. However, he was not present during the final battle between Isildur and Sauron on Mount Doom.
In year 2 of the Third Age, Elendur travelled with his father and brothers (all but Valandil) and a company of 200 knights to Imladris, ultimately to visit the North-Kingdom of Arnor. They passed by the plain of Dagorlad and walked northward along the Anduin River. The company then resorted to old Sylvan paths on the outskirts of Greenwood. At Gladden Fields on October 5, the company was attacked by an army of Orcs from the Misty Mountains. These enemies were drawn by the power of the One Ring, which Elendil had cut off the hand of Sauron.
Elendur tried to convince his father to flee the battle scene, for Ciryon was dead and Aratan was dying. Elendil resisted but eventually agreed to flee, only to be slain, his ring lost in the Anduin. Elendur was killed shortly after his father.
Notice: In an earlier version of the legendarium, Elendur was born in the year 3318 of the Second Age, making him the last man born in Numenor, not Meneldil.

Names & Meanings
Elendur may translate as "Servant of the Elves" in Quenya. The element eled was taken from his grandfather's name. There was a later king of Arnor of the same name. In an earlier version of the legendarium, Elendur was named Kiryandil.
