Folcwine
Folcwine was the fourteenth king of Rohan. He was born in the year 2830 of the Third Age. Folcwine was the son of King Folca.
Folcwine became king in 2864, after his father was killed by the Great Boar of Everholt. Folcwine had four children: twin sons Folcred & Fastred; an unnamed daughter; and Fengel, grandfather of Theoden.
During his reign, Folcwine removed the Dunlendings who threatened Rohan's border between Adorn and the River Isen. He also sent aid to Gondor during its war with Harad.
In 2885, Folcwine aided Gondor in defeating an invasion of Haradrim. While Folcwine himself survived, Folcred and Fastred were both killed in battle.
Folcwine died in 2903 and was succeeded by his only remaining son Fengel.
