Fundin
Born in 2662 of the Third Age, Fundin was the son of Farin. Fundin had two sons named Balin and Dwalin. He also had a brother named Groin. In 2799, the Battle of Azanulbizar took place between the Dwarves and the Orcs of the Misty Mountains. Fundin and his army were led by Thrain II. During the battle, Thrain's army was driven into the woods near Mirrormere where many of them died. Fundin was among the battle victims.
Names & Meanings
Fundin is the name of a Dwarf in the Old Norse poem Voluspa. In English, the name translates as "found."
