Glóredhel
Daughter of Hador; sister of Galdor. Gloredhel was born in year 415 of the First Age. She was the daughter of Hador, founder and first Lord of the House of Hador, and his wife Gildis. Gloredhel had two younger brothers named Galdor and Gundor.
In 436, Gloredhel married Haldir at a feast held by her father. In 441, Gloredhel had a son named Handir . Haldir became Lord of the House of Haleth in 471 after his father's death.
In 472, Morgoth launched an attack on Beleriand in the Battle of Unnumbered Tears and Haldir was killed. Gloredhel died of grief soon after she was told of her husband's death. Her son Handir succeeded Haldir as Lord of the House of Haleth.

Names & Meanings
Glóredhel translates as "golden Elf" from the Sindarin elements glór from glaur meaning "golden" and edhel translating as "Elf." In earlier versions of the legendarium, Gloredhel was named Glorwendil but Tolkien changed her name to Gloredhel.
