Malvegil
Born in the year 1144 of the Third Age, Malvegil became the sixth king of Arthedain. He was the son of King Celebrindor. Malvegil became king in year 1272, after the death of his father, and ruled until his own death in 1349. Malvegil was succeeded by his son Argeleb I as king. His son ruled for only seven years before the Witch-King began troubling the people of Arthedain.
Names & Meanings
The Malvegil translates from Sindarin as "golden sword." The word mal means "gold" in Sindarin and vegil comes from the word megil meaning "sword."
