Argeleb I
Born in the year 1226 of the Third Age, Argeleb I became the seventh king of Arthedain. Argeleb I was the son of King Malvegil. Argeleb I became king in year 1349 of the Third Age, the year of his father's death. Argeleb I only ruled for seven years.
During his reign as king, Argeleb I attempted to claim lordship over the other two kingdoms in Arnor: Cardolan and Rhudaur. But Rhudaur put up strong resistance and even allied itself with the Witch-King, who had established his realm in Angmar some years before.
In 1356, the Witch-King of Angmar and his legions of men from Rhudaur attacked Arthedain. King Argeleb I strengthened the defenses around the Weather Hills, but he was killed while doing so. Argeleb I was succeeded as king by his son Arveleg I, who managed to drive out the forces of Rhudaur and Angmar with the help of the men of Cardolan and Elves of Lindon.
