Targon

Targon worked at the storehouse and buttery on behalf of the guards of the Citadel during the War of the Ring. He lived in the upper levels of Minas Tirith by the time of the Battle of the Pelennor Fields.
In March of year 3019 of the Third Age, Targon provided Pippin Took and Beregond with a large feast of bread & butter, ale, cheese, apples, and more.
Targon's fate during the later events of the War of the Ring is unknown.

Names & Meanings
The meaning of the name Targon is unknown. The element tar may mean "kingly," as seen in Tarannon, and gon may mean "stone," as seen in Gondor. However, it seems difficult to make sense of these two words, so the meaning remains unknown.
