Amrothos
Man of Gondor. Amrothos was the son of Prince Imrahil. Amrothos was born in 2994 of the Third Age. He lived with his family in Dol Amroth, a fiefdom of Gondor. Amrothos had two older brothers named Elphir and Erchirion. He had a sister named Lothiriel, who married Eomer. Amrothos's fate is unkown.

The name Amrothos comes from Amroth. Amroth was an Elf-king of the early Third Age. The name Amroth is a Sindarin word that is derived from am meaning "up" and rath, which means "climb," implying that the word Amroth means "up climber." Amroth is not only of Sindarin origin, but likely influenced by the Silvan language as well.
