Belecthor I
Belecthor I was the fifteenth ruling-Steward of Gondor born in 2545 of the Third Age to Hurin II. In 2576, Belecthor's son and heir, Orodreth, was born. He also had a daughter named Morwen. Belecthor I ruled from 2628, when his father died, to 2655, when he himself died. Orodreth succeeded his father as Steward.
Names & Meanings
Belecthor is thought to be the Quenya word for "mighty eagle" or "eagle of might" from beleg, which means "might," and thor which means "eagles." There was a later Steward named Belecthor II.
