Orodreth
Sixteenth ruling-Steward of Gondor. Orodreth was born in year 2576 of the Third Age. He was the son of Steward Belecthor I. Orodreth had a sister named Morwen. Orodreth ruled from when his father died in year 2655, to when he himself died in year 2685. He was succeeded by his son Ecthelion I as Steward.
Names & Meanings
Orodreth was the name of an Elf-lord of the First Age, the younger brother of Finrod Felagund and a ruler of Nargothrond. The name is thought to mean something like "mountaineer," though this references the first Orodreth.
