Hûrin II
Hurin II was the fourteenth ruling-Steward of Gondor. He was born in the year 2515 of the Third Age. Hurin II was the son of the Steward Hallas. Hurin II ruled for twenty-three years from 2605, when his father died, to 2628, when he himself died. Hurin II was succeeded by his son Belecthor I as Steward.
Names & Meanings
Hûrin can be derived from the elements hûr meaning "vigor" and inn meaning "inner thought/heart." Hurin shared his name with a legendary Edain of the First Age, as well as Hurin of Emyn Arnen, Hurin of the Keys, and Hurin I of Gondor.
