Elfstan Fairbairn
Son of Elanor Fairbairn; grandson of Samwise Gamgee. Elfstan Fairbairn was born in year 33 of the Fourth Age. He was the son of Fastred of Greenholm and Elanor the Fair. Elfstan had a sister named Firiel. Their family lived in the Undertowers in the Tower Hills of the Westmarch. Fastred was Warden of the Westmarch and Elanor was the maid of honor of Queen Arwen. It can be assumed that, after Fastred's death, Elfstan became Warden of the Westmarch.
Names & Meanings
Elfstan means "Elf-stone," possibly a reference to the Elessar gem.
