Elanor Gamgee Fairbairn

Elanor the Fair was the eldest daughter of Samwise Gamgee known for her beauty. Elanor Gamgee was born on March 25, 3021 of the Third Age; exactly one year after the One Ring was destroyed. Her mother was Rosie Cotton Gamgee. Elanor had thirteen younger siblings: Frodo Gardner, Rose, Merry, Pippin, Goldilocks, Hamfast, Daisy, Primrose, Bilbo, Ruby, Robin, and Tolman (called Tom).
In year 15 of the Fourth Age, Queen Arwen of the Reunited Kingdom of Gondor and Arnor visited the Shire. She named Elanor her maid of honor. In year 21, Elanor and her parents visited Gondor. Elanor married Fastred of Greenholm in year 30. Four years later, Fastred became the Warden of the Westmarch, and he and Elanor made their home in the Undertowers in the Tower Hills in Westmarch. In 33 they had a son named Elfstan Fairbairn. Sometime there after, Elanor and Fastred had a daughter named Firiel.
Elanor's father Sam said his final farewell to Elanor in year 61 of the Fourth Age. He gave he the Red Book of Westmarch, a record of the events leading up to the destruction of the One Ring. Sam then went to the Grey Havens and passed over the Sea into the Undying Lands in the West.
Elanor's date of death is not known.

Names & Meanings
Elanor is the name of a golden flower that Sam found in Lothlorien. The name can be derived from el meaing "star" and anor meaning "sun." Elanor was also called Elanor the Fair because of her beauty.
