Ferumbras Took III
Born in 2916 of the Third Age, Ferumbras Took III became the thirtieth Thain of the Shire. Ferumbras III was the son of Thain Fortinbras Took II and Lalia Clayhanger Took. In 2980, Fortinbras Took II died and Ferumbras Took III became Thain of the Shire.
Thain Ferumbras III settled in a bachelor apartment in the Great Smials. He never married. Ferumbras III attended Bilbo's Farewell Party in 3001. In 3002, Ferumbras's mother Lalia fell out of her wheelchair and died. Ferumbras III becmae head of the Took family, and he celebrated this with a feast. Pearl Took, who was pushing Lalia's wheelchair when she died, was excluded from the celebration.
Ferumbras Took III died in 3015 and he was succeeded as Thain by his closest male relative Paladin Took II.
