Pearl Took
Daughter of Thain Paladin II; sister of Pippin Took. Pearl Took was born in 2975 of the Third Age. She was the eldest child of Paladin and Eglantine Took. She had three younger siblings: two sisters named Pimpernel and Pervinca, and a brother named Peregrin (called Pippin).
Pearl Took was the subject of a malevolent rumor. She may have been pushing Lalia Took's wheelchair in the Great Smials for a breath of fresh air one morning in 3002. As the rumor went, Pearl accidentally bumped the wheelchair upon the threshold of the Great Door of Lalia's home. Lalia fell out of the wheelchair and died. It is not known if this rumor is true, but regardless Pearl was banned from attending Lalia's son Ferumbras III's celebration later that year. However, Pearl was given a beautiful pearl necklace afterwards. Pearl's date of death is unknown.
