Second child of Sam Gamgee and Rosie Cotton Gamgee. Frodo Gamgee was born in year 2 of the Fourth Age. He was named after Frodo Baggins. Frodo Gamgee had one older sister named Elanor and eleven younger siblings: Rose, Merry, Pippin, Goldilocks, Hamfast, Daisy, Primrose, Bilbo, Ruby, Robin, and Tolman. In 41, Frodo had a son named Holfast. Frodo and his family likely inheriting Bag End in 61 of the Fourth Age after Sam had left Middle-Earth for the Undying Lands and Rosie had died.
Names & Meanings
Frodo Gamgee was named after Frodo Baggins. After Sam became known as Samwise Gardner because of his skill with replanting the Shire, his son Frodo changed his name as well. From Frodo Gardner came many generations of Gardners.
