Snaga, Orc of Cirith Ungol
Orc of the Tower of Cirith Ungol under the command of Shagrat. Snaga fought in and survived a battle between the Orcs of Cirith Ungol and the Orcs of Minas Morgul on March 14, 3019 of the Third Age. Snaga was one of the few Orcs who survived the battle in the Tower of Cirith Ungol. After the battle, Shagrat ordered Snaga to take the belongings of their prisoner Frodo and bring them to Sauron.
When Snaga was scurrying to take Frodo's belongings to Sauron, he encountered Sam Gamgee on the stairs of the tower and ran away. Snaga told Shagrat that he had seen a Great Elf Warrior, and he refused to leave the tower. Shagrat ordered Snaga to do as he was told or he would be killed. But Snaga ran away from Shagrat and he got away. Snaga fled to the top of the tower where Frodo lie unconscious. Snaga began to whip Frodo, but Sam caught up to him and chased him. Snaga fell through a trap door to his death.

Names & Meanings
Snaga is the Black Speech word for "slave." It is one of the few words known in Black Speech, which was the language of Mordor. It is possible that Snaga was a title rather than an actual name, for there was an Orc of Isengard called Snaga.
